Got this book for Christmas and I was so excited to see someone else doing what I am attempting to do. Here are my future charcoal sticks, ready to be packed in a tin can and put into the fire. Looking forward to lots of self made fun in the desert 2016
Thanks to everyone who made it to my opening and to others that have visited the exhibition, I have had an overwhelmingly positive response to it. Haven't seen it yet? You've still got plenty of time, on until 4th October
This week I have been trying out making.paper with camel poo. Here are some photos of how the process went. I am pretty pleased with the results so far, but the paper is fragile. Next time I will add some local spinifex to the mix for strength. It also makes wonderful fertiliser!
"PLAYING WITH PIGMENTS"
In conjunction with my fast approaching (post SALA) exhibition I will be holding an artist talk and workshop on the 12th September. The talk will commence at 1pm, followed by a workshop at 2pm, where you will have the opportunity to create a lino block and learn how to mix and print with a range of dry pigments.
The talk is free (just turn up on the day)
Workshop costs $50 payable on the day all materials supplied
To secure a place for the workshop send me a message via the contact page
