This week I have been trying out making.paper with camel poo. Here are some photos of how the process went. I am pretty pleased with the results so far, but the paper is fragile. Next time I will add some local spinifex to the mix for strength. It also makes wonderful fertiliser!
"PLAYING WITH PIGMENTS"
In conjunction with my fast approaching (post SALA) exhibition I will be holding an artist talk and workshop on the 12th September. The talk will commence at 1pm, followed by a workshop at 2pm, where you will have the opportunity to create a lino block and learn how to mix and print with a range of dry pigments.
The talk is free (just turn up on the day)
Workshop costs $50 payable on the day all materials supplied
To secure a place for the workshop send me a message via the contact page
This week I have launched a crowd funding campaign to raise funds for my fast approaching solo exhibition "rusty dusty teabag". Exhibitions get costly to put on and due to major cuts in Arts funding (and a bit of bad timing on my part) I need to raise these funds myself. I am only asking to cover the cost of framing six works, but if I raise more well that would mean less for me to fork out.
Anyway its all about teabags and so are the rewards. YES you give to me and I will give something back to you. Its a bit like a pre-exhibition sale!
