Coinciding with my current exhibition “Absence” at Hahndorf Academy I recently ran paper making and book making workshops, I had so much fun I nearly forgot to take any photos! Exhibition runs until the 25th of March so if you haven’t seen it yet.....
My bay tree is out of control, so I threw a big pile of leaves into my aluminium dye pot put it on to boil with a ball of white wool to see what would result. I had read that bay leaves make a yellow, but it is very subtle. I will continue to reduce the dye to see what will come of it.

there is a mythological old hag with no arms or head. She sees through her breasts and speaks from her vulva, Her strength is in her ability to cause those in distress to laugh, a loud healing belly laugh, she does this by telling rude stories and dances

back in the desert gathering ideas for a new work that will be part of a bigger project next year. Its about loss of significant sites, landmarks and tourists destinations. I've been thinking about what we take away from these locations and what we leave behind in their place..
I'ts been a while since I have done a portrait, but I am really please with how this one is developing. Working from a rusted steel plate and printing with rust.
I've been having some fun this week making paper. I get so much joy out of using plants that I grow in my garden and I love being able to recycle some of my failed prints. It's also kind of cool how one idea always seems to lead to another.
